Qualifications

Sub Agent / Site Agent – Civil Engineering Projects (Central Scotland)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sub Agent / Site Agent to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering high-profile infrastructure projects across Scotland, with a primary focus in Central and West Coast regions.

The Role

Working within an established civils team, the Sub Agent / Site Agent will oversee the safe and efficient delivery of infrastructure projects, including RC structures, bridges, earthworks, drainage, and roadworks. This is a key site-based leadership role with responsibility for managing teams, subcontractors, programme performance, and technical compliance, reporting directly to the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Lead on-site delivery of infrastructure projects to time, quality, and safety standards

Manage site teams, subcontractors, and internal interfaces across disciplines

Implement H&S, quality, and engineering processes throughout project lifecycle

Own and manage project programmes, risk registers, and commercial input (CVRs)

Liaise with stakeholders, attend pre-start meetings, and maintain project reporting

Support procurement, logistics, and resource planning

Ideal Candidate

Civil engineering degree or HNC/HND qualified

Strong civils experience across multi-disciplinary projects up to £10m

Knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM regulations, and project cost control

Valid CSCS Manager card and SMSTS (or willingness to obtain)

TWC/TWS awareness or competency desirable

Proficient with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus

Willingness to travel, with flexibility for night or weekend shifts when required

Full UK driving licence
