Slimming World is seeking an experienced Sub Editor to join the award-winning Slimming World Magazine at our Alfreton head office. You will uphold high editorial standards, polish copy, write eye-catching headlines and ensure grammar, facts and tone align with our house style.

Based full-time with a nine-day fortnights option, the role requires a journalism degree, superb proofreading, and strong collaboration with the Deputy Editor and Food Editor to support weight loss content and timely

Qualifications

• Degree in journalism or postgraduate qualification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous proofreading with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using InDesign.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all copy is error-free and grammar, spelling, and facts are correct.
• Work with the Deputy Editor and Food Editor to ensure recipes are great to cook and support weight loss.
• Maintain a consistent house style and our tone of voice.
• Write headlines that are eye-catching and inspiring.
• Secure approvals from Slimming World members and outside contributors.
• Help the team meet production deadlines.
