Role: Sub-Contract Purchasing Administrator (12 Month Maternity Cover Contract)

Location: Leamington Spa (on-site)

Ricardo’s Performance Products division are seeking a Sub-Contract Purchasing Administrator to support the purchasing and logistics tasks of sub-contract manufacturing, and the administration of vehicles and driver routes for the delivery and collection of sub-contract processed components.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration of sub-contract and outsourcing work, purchase order placement and expediting.
  • Maintain systems with latest commitment dates.
  • Carry out system transactions for all component movements.
  • Provide driver and courier organisation and administration support such as van logs, safety checks, incident reporting, maintenance admin.
  • Maintain the quote register with appropriate filing, ensuring all RFQ’s from Manufacturing Engineering are obtained and filed.
  • Summarise critical issues and think ahead to any future issues.
  • Work alongside the Shop Floor sections to help transition incoming work onto ongoing operations.
  • Occasional driving to deliver/collect from suppliers.
  • Move parts to relevant sections to ensure expedited processing.
  • Close liaison with manufacturing functions to agree priorities and contribute data to daily morning meetings.
  • Report out according to required departmental KPI measures.

Technical And Professional Skills, Knowledge, And Qualifications

  • Good level of PC and general computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be able to work swiftly, with daily pressures on short lead times and respond quickly to tasks and changes.
  • Experience in purchasing or other manufacturing administration role.
  • Commercially astute and able to analyse quotations.
  • Good level of both written and verbal literacy for clear communications.
  • Accurate and detail orientated.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Enjoys working with a supportive team.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (preferably with machining).
  • Experience in using MRP/ERP systems (Infor LN preferable).
