Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Package

An established, dynamic main contractor with a strong reputation within the construction industry, specialising in delivering residential, education, healthcare, commercial, and heritage projects across London, with contract values up to £20,000,000.

They offer a variety of first-class, comprehensive services and maintain very good client relationships, thanks to a proven track record of completing projects on time, within budget, and to high standards.

Due to their growing success and innovative approach, they are currently seeking an ambitious, experienced Sub-Contract Buyer to join their team. The role is based out of their office near East London.

Sub-Contract Buyer Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Commercial Director
• Responsible for subcontract placements and procurement
• Liaise with contracts management and surveying departments
• Analyse specifications and price comparisons
• Handle tender enquiries
• Process subcontract demand sheets

Personal Specification

• Experience in subcontract buying
• Teamwork experience and knowledge within the contracting industry
• Good commercial knowledge, capable of taking control of situations, and proficient in Excel spreadsheets
