A leading civil engineering contractor is looking for a Sub Agent to oversee a high-value Rail project in London. The successful candidate will manage teams, ensure project compliance with health and safety regulations, and be responsible for overall project management. A degree in Civil Engineering and significant main contractor experience are essential, ideally with additional rail project experience.

Sub Agent – Rail

A Main Civil Engineering Contractor are seeking a Sub Agent to work on a high value Civil Rail project working on a Station Upgrade Project based in London. The ideal candidate will have Main Contractor experience and Rail experience this is essential.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
  • At least 5 years’ experience working for a main contractor on civil engineering projects
  • Experience on rail structures projects is desirable
  • PTS holder

Duties will Include:

  • Undertake management of Section Engineers, Site Engineers, Section Managers, Foremen and Planners.
  • Drive construction phase of project
  • Manage and control all project resources
  • Responsible for all management of the project
  • Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are complied with.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the project are effectively monitored and controlled.
  • Deliver project within programme and budget.
  • Manage and monitor subcontractors.
  • Manage and review supply chain performance.
  • Liaise with client and designers.
  • Attend monthly progress meetings and compile monthly reports.
  • Report to Line Manager on a regular basis.
  • Manage Quality & Environmental Plans on site
  • Introduce improvements and innovations where appropriate.
  • Control contract costs.
