Job description

Sub Agent - Rail - North West - Permanent

We are currently seeking a Sub Agent to join a major railway contractor involved in high-profile projects across the North West. The projects include bridge replacements, station works, P-way, and associated civils works. The role requires a good understanding of civils, P-way, S&T, and OLE.

Requirements:

  • Recognised industry qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles within a railway environment
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in roles such as Section Engineer or Senior Engineer
  • Current and valid PTS certification
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends as required

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily engineering and construction activities on site
  • Plan works in accordance with design, access, and timelines
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with Network Rail standards and safety requirements
  • Prepare project documentation including ITPs, WPPs, and task briefings
  • Assist with SSOW pack completion
  • Monitor subcontractors on site
