Sub Agent – Highways

Salary: £35- £45k + pkg
Location: Cambridge
Regions: Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire

A Major Civil Contractor are seeking a Senior Engineer to work on a project based in Hertfordshire on heavy Civil multi-discipline highways projects on a permanent basis. Candidates must have a range of different Civil experience and Highways experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the Site Manager and deputise for short periods when the Site Manager is not available.
• Management of Site Management Plan.
• Build, develop, support and maintain the engineering team.
• Be aware of responsibilities from the HSEQ policies.
• Short Term planning.

Required Experience:

• Candidates should ideally be qualified to degree/diploma level in a civil engineering discipline.
• Previous experience of working for a main contractor on major civil engineering projects is essential.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM Regulations.
• Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and safe systems of work.
• Knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues.
• Experience in construction.
