BAM Nuttall is seeking an experienced and motivated Sub Agent to join our team. The role involves delivering large civil engineering projects across Scotland, primarily within the energy infrastructure sector, including building new substations to support Scotland's transition to net zero. Positions are available within our RIIOT2 Framework in locations such as Kilsyth, Argyll, Orkney, and Dounreay.

Your Mission

As a Sub Agent, your responsibilities include:

• Leading by example in health, safety, and environmental matters, ensuring compliance through method statements, risk assessments, and briefings.
• Managing, supervising, and mentoring section, site, and assistant engineers to ensure high standards of engineering control and record keeping.
• Maintaining good relationships with RE staff and the supply chain.
• Promoting a cost-conscious approach by using resources efficiently.
• Supporting the agent in operating the cost management system, producing programmes, and preparing QF.
• Communicating with commercial staff to ensure records for measurement and payment are prepared promptly and appropriately.
• Adopting and promoting BIM technologies in line with the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Collaborating with the general foreman for work preparation and resource availability.
• Assisting in procuring materials, sub-contracts, and plant in a timely manner.
• Reviewing staff performance, development, and training needs, including addressing underperformance or resignations.
• Advising the agent of any potential commercial or contractual liabilities.

Who Are We Looking For?

The following are mandatory requirements:

• Degree or HND in Engineering or equivalent.
• CSCS Level - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Supervisory/Manager.
• SSSTS certification.
• Successful experience and performance at Section Engineer level.

The following are desirable:

• Qualified to ICE Incorporated level or equivalent.
