Description and requirements

Skanska, one of the world's leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society.

In partnership with National Highways, Skanska is delivering the A47 road improvement project aimed at reducing congestion and enhancing safety. We are seeking a Sub Agent to join our infrastructure team in Norwich to oversee and ensure successful planning, delivery, and handover of the section of works.

What you'll do:
  • Manage, supervise and mentor the site team to enable them to perform their duties effectively.
  • Generate temporary works design briefs, inspect and review designs, and raise technical queries to design teams.
  • Produce and update look ahead programmes, record and communicate progress, and create detailed plans for your section.
  • Maintain accurate site records, raise requisitions, ensure compliance with subcontract scopes and identify cost savings in your section.
  • Generate Inspection and Test Plans and manage material approvals.
  • Complete Health & Safety inspections and implement courses of action.
  • Identify and implement environmental awareness opportunities for your section.
We're looking for:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction and contracts.
  • Health & Safety and Environmental Management training (SMSTS).
  • Relevant CSCS Card
