Role: Sub Agent

Salary: Up to £50,00 p/a (dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced Sub Agent with a background in heavy civils or highways environments and looking for a fresh challenge?

We have an exciting new opportunity with our client, a well-established civil engineering firm with national coverage and a growing reputation on major frameworks.

They are looking for a driven Sub Agent with a background in civils and infrastructure projects to work on a range of schemes across the Kent area.

Key duties:

  • Support the Site Agent or Project Manager on large projects and management of smaller construction contracts.
  • Management of site staff operatives and sub-contractors.
  • Produce method statements, hazard risk assessments and project management plans.
  • Understand tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets.
  • Preparing and monitoring programmes of work.
  • Manage design co-ordination.
  • Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion.
  • Develop strong relations and reputation with clients.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in the civils sector including highways and roads schemes, earthworks, drainage and flood defences.
  • Ideally have experience of working for a main contractor and working with the NEC form of contract
  • SMSTS or relevant industry qualification.
  • Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving license is essential, and the successful candidate will be happy to travel throughout our Eastern counties Region.
