FREELANCE SUB AGENT - 2 years work

We have several requirements for our SZC (Sizewell) project:

• 2 x sub-agents

As a Sub Agent, you will be responsible for assisting the Site Agent/Project Manager on larger value schemes to achieve project delivery objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact, and cost control.

Projects may include dredging, marine civil engineering, bridge construction, minor civils, environmental improvement, and marine piling.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in management and technical support in a civil engineering environment (including CDM regulations)
• High level of written communication, preferably technical writing for tender submissions or reports
• Willing to be an ambassador for Land & Water Services
• Knowledge of all aspects of successful design and project management
• Excellent commercial awareness and proven experience in delivering profitable works
• Proficient in personal computer and business applications/software, including BIM and cloud-based document control
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel throughout the UK
• Can-do attitude
• Experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects
• CSCS and SMSTS cards
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts, programme, risk management, and cost control including forecasting, actual cost, and value reporting
• In-depth knowledge of BS5975 TW Procedure and experience as a Temporary Works Supervisor

Desirable Qualifications and Attributes:

• Appointed Person (Lifting) CPCS card
• Chartered with ICE or working towards ICE Chartership
• Experience managing and training junior team members
• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
