Job summary

A leading civil engineering firm is seeking a Contract Sub Agent for a major highways project on the A47 in Blofield. The ideal candidate has proven experience in highways, particularly with Blacktop/Asphalt, and strong leadership skills to drive project delivery. The role offers a competitive daily rate of £350-£400 and a long contract duration until April 2026. Immediate start available.

Overview

• Role: Contract Sub Agent - A47 Blofield (Outside IR35)
• Location: Blofield, NR13
• Rate: £350-£400 p/d (Ltd / Umbrella)
• Duration: Until April 2026

Responsibilities

• Join a major highways project on the A47 at Blofield, where a 5km section is being dualled, with safety upgrades across junctions, curves, bridges, slopes, medians, and installation of vehicle restraint systems (VRS).
• Hit the ground running as the scheme moves into a critical phase with Blacktop going down and deadlines approaching.
• Drive delivery on site with urgency and ensure progress, supported by senior staff and a team of engineers.

What we need

• Proven highways (or airport) experience, ideally with Blacktop/Asphalt.
• Knowledge of VRS, safety systems, and civil structures (curves, bridges, slopes).
• SMSTS, CSCS, Safety Critical Medical (Highways Passport can be arranged).
• Strong leadership to drive delivery on site.
