Sub Agent

Abatec are excited to be working with a well-known, Regional Civil Engineering Contractor who work throughout the South West & Wales. Our client has been appointed as a Sub Contractor to deliver the Earthworks Package on a £200m Major Highways Project in Gloucestershire and require a Sub Agent to work across this package of works. This project is a crucial development for the local area and will have a lasting impact on regional connectivity.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business who invest in their staff and are looking to employ driven individuals, who have ambition to progress their career across varied and exciting Civil Engineering schemes in the South West.

As Sub Agent you will:

1. Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements, permits etc
2. Ensure all quality documentation is completed to company standards
3. Manage the Site Engineers, resolving any technical queries, liaising with the main contractor representatives
4. Reporting into senior management on programme regarding performance and progress.
5. Resolve difficulties and problems which may arise
6. Supervising and leading a site team and sub-contractors

Our client requires a Sub Agent with:

1. HNC/Degree or in Civil Engineering or equivalent
2. Experience of working in a similar position for a Civils contractor
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills
4. Can-do attitude, able to meet fixed deadlines and manage risk
5. SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS card

Salary/Benefits:

1. £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
2. Car allowance
3. Company benefits package including 27 days annual leave (exc bank holidays), 7.5% employer pension contribution and life assurance
