Client: Leading Civil Engineering Contractor
Our client, a respected civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to support the successful delivery of infrastructure projects across the Central Belt of Scotland. This is a site-based role involving a range of project types within the civil engineering sector. The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified in Civil Engineering and bring a solid understanding of core construction disciplines including earthworks, roadworks, drainage, and structural works.
Assist Project and Site Agents in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects with a strong focus on cost control.
Conduct site inductions, safety briefings, and maintain high standards of HSEQ compliance.
Oversee and mentor site engineers, ensuring efficient and safe site operations.
Develop and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) to maintain quality assurance on all works.
Engage and liaise with clients, consulting engineers, public utilities, and local authorities.
Interpret and review technical designs and specifications, managing variations and design changes effectively.
Support procurement and material ordering processes in line with project needs.
BEng or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering (preferred).
Proven experience in civil engineering works, particularly in areas such as earthworks, drainage, roads, and structures.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise professionally with colleagues, clients, and third parties.
Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Full clean UK driving licence.
Experience working on projects under NEC contracts.
Previous involvement in coordinating with utility providers and local authorities.
Familiarity with quality and environmental compliance standards in the civil engineering sector.
