We are collaborating with one of the UK’s leading construction and infrastructure companies to deliver a multimillion-pound scheme in Bridgwater. This high-profile project presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and skilled team.

Position Overview: As a Freelance Sub Agent, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of this significant project. Your expertise in heavy civils or marine projects will be essential in ensuring the project meets its objectives efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and Oversee Project Delivery: Plan, manage, and execute all site activities in alignment with project requirements.
  2. Programming Works: Develop and implement detailed schedules to ensure efficient project progression.
  3. Health & Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce adherence to Health & Safety policies, promoting a safety-first culture on-site.
  4. Quality Control: Ensure that all works are carried out to the required specifications and standards.
  5. Team Collaboration: Foster strong relationships and promote a “one-team” ethos across different divisions and subcontractors.
  6. Financial Accountability: Take full responsibility for the project’s profit and loss, maintaining strict control of target costs and managing actual costs incurred.

What Are We Looking For? The ideal candidate will have:

  1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Site Agent role, preferably within heavy civils or marine projects.
  2. Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  3. Excellent commercial and contractual awareness.
  4. A relevant Civil Engineering qualification (e.g., HND, Degree, or equivalent).
  5. A proven track record of delivering large-scale projects to a high standard.
