STRABAG in Bolton is seeking a site leadership professional to manage and mentor the on-site team, ensuring work contribution aligns with contract requirements and programme targets.

You will review subcontractor contracts, develop job-specific conditions and manage cost forecasts with the Construction Manager. A strong focus on QA, safety, and documentation is essential as the project moves to Ribble Valley from August 2026.

Qualifikationen

• HND/Degree in Engineering Discipline required.
• CSCS Card and SMSTS Card are mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years' construction management experience.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.

Please note, this role is provisionally based in our Bolton office and moving to the Ribble Valley area from August 2026.

• Manage, supervise, train and mentor the site team to enable them to optimise their work contribution.
• Review contractual agreements and develop design, working methods, programme and forecast costs with the Construction Manager, General Foreman and Subcontractors / Suppliers identifying any inaccuracies or inconsistencies, and feedback any changes made to the QA and QS teams.
• Develop detailed site programmes, assessing actual productivity achieved and review weekly, taking action where appropriate, and reporting any changes to the Construction Manager.
• Be fully conversant with subcontractor’s contract conditions, develop job specific subcontract conditions and manage the subcontractors account with the Construction Manager.
• Requisitioning resources in a timely manner to ensure that they are correctly specified and readily available so as not to impede the construction programme.
• Communicate to the QA and QS teams’ non-conformances and any instructions received from the client / designer.
• Ensure that comprehensive records of resources employed on additional works are maintained.
• Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes / variations, subcontractors’ attendance, and records of work-related discussions with client / designer / RE / project team.
• Ensure that inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works are reviewed, approved and adhered to.
• Keep abreast of developments in professional field.
• Adherence to, and implementation of Project policies and procedures.
• Ad hoc duties as job requires.

• Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Minimum 3 years' construction related experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organisational skills.

• Strong interpersonal skill and the ability to work well as part of a team, as well as manage people.
