We are searching for an artist who is highly skilled and talented with a proven track record of leading teams in projects involving stylized environments, hard surfaces, and weapons. The ideal candidate is a leader who can maintain high standards of quality and style, with knowledge of different pipelines and extensive experience in game development.
Superpowers
you have are
- Proven experience as a Project Lead or Team Lead within a Stylized 3D Environment Art team in a game development environment;
- Ability to manage and review the quality of the team’s output, ensuring it meets artistic and technical standards;
- Skills in mentoring, guiding, and resolving artistic and technical challenges within the team, as well as providing clear, constructive feedback;
- A refined artistic eye and commitment to high-quality visual standards;
- Comprehensive industry knowledge of current pipelines, tools, and trends;
- Strong expertise in full-cycle creation of stylized environment assets, including high-poly sculpting (ZBrush), SubD modeling (3ds Max/Maya), UV mapping, texture baking, and texturing (Substance Painter) or hand-painted texturing;
- Upper-Intermediate+ English level (written and spoken) for seamless collaboration and documentation;
You’re a rockstar
if you have
- Experience building scenes in game engines (Unreal Engine 4/5, Unity, etc);
- Strong skills in creating materials in the Substance Designer;
- Knowledge of rendering skills in VRay, Arnold, and others.
As a part of Room 8
studio, you will
- Lead AAA console, PC and mobile projects in the direction of stylized environment, weapon and hardsurface;
- Control the quality of artists’ work in the team;
- Provide help and solve problems in a team that are related to the artistic and technical components of the project;
- Organize and run the work of the team within the project and specific tasks;
- Be responsible for team management, development & assessment;
- Participate in the hiring process as a technical interviewer and reviewer;
- Create technical specifications and guides.
