Overview

Room 8 Studio is seeking a senior leader with strong team and project leadership capabilities, deep understanding of the full 3D environment creation process, and a strategic mindset to guide the Sub-Division development and production goals.

Responsibilities
  • Define and drive long-term 3D Stylized Environment Sub-Division development strategy.
  • Set standards for workflows and processes in collaboration with Team Leads.
  • Work with Sub-Division Director and Team Leads to align goals with overall strategy.
  • Initiate and implement changes to policies, workflows, and documentation.
  • Make strategic decisions regarding portfolio direction, creation of new sub-services, and roles.
  • Oversee and support strategically important projects.
  • Plan team structure and size based on production needs and recruitment goals.
  • Define team composition and responsibilities in collaboration with Team Managers.
  • Participate in hiring process: create and assess test tasks, conduct technical interviews, evaluate candidate skills.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and performance assessment of Team Leads.
  • Support Team Leads in recruiting for senior roles and Project Leads.
  • Develop and implement onboarding and learning programs for Team Leads and the Sub-Division.
  • Conduct syncs, performance reviews, and mentorship initiatives.
  • Provide feedback to Producers, Project Managers, Team Leads, and other leadership roles.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and team assignment.
  • Resolve technical/artistic challenges and internal team conflicts.
  • Join client calls for project initiation, clarification, or issue resolution.
  • Participate in retrospectives and continuous improvement discussions.
  • Define or develop pipelines for complex and strategic projects.
  • Work on complex artistic tasks and guide optimization of processes.
  • Represent the Sub-Division in key client meetings and strategic discussions.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a team lead, project lead, or similar position.
  • Exceptional personal artistic and technical skills with a deep understanding of the full 3D environment creation process.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, pipelines, and trends.
  • Proven ability to deliver constructive, actionable feedback and elevate team performance.
  • Strategic mindset with a passion for growing talent and optimizing team efficiency.
  • Strong organizational and management skills to guide teams and drive production goals.
  • Commitment to ongoing self-improvement and the mentorship of others.
  • Upper-Intermediate+ level of English proficiency, both written and spoken, for smooth communication and documentation.
  • Completion of Higher Education in Administration, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or External Trade.
