Stylist or Assistant Stylist – Newtownabbey

Salary: Stylist (Dog Groomer) £11.84/hour / Assistant Stylist (Trainee Dog Groomer) £11.44/hour

Who are we?

We’re Pets at Home – if you love pets, you might already know about our Pet Care Centres, including Pets Grooming salons and Vets for Pets practices across the UK.

What are the roles?

Our Stylists and Assistant Stylists are essential to the success of our Pets Grooming salons.

Stylist: You will handle all aspects of pet grooming, delivering high-standard, thorough grooms, exceeding customer expectations through excellent service and communication.

Assistant Stylist: You will provide top-quality pet care while learning technical skills related to dog grooming, including handling, equipment use, and pre-grooming prep. We offer training, skills development, and opportunities to earn additional pay through training programs.

Who are we looking for?

• People passionate about delivering excellent service
• Flexible workers able to work across 7 days a week, with a minimum of 39 hours, often more during busy periods
• Experience working with dogs in a professional grooming or pet care setting (bathing/grooming your own dog does not qualify)
• Experience in a customer-facing role preferred
• Comfortable working in target-driven environments
