Job summary

Calthorpe Park School in Fleet is seeking a proactive Study Supervisor to support students during lesson time and cover in the absence of teachers. The role is 30 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, term-time only, with hours 8.30am to 3.15pm, starting 1 September 2026.

You should have Maths and English GCSEs (Grade C or above) or equivalent, solid IT and organisational skills, and the ability to maintain order and engagement in lessons.

Qualifications

• Strong academic record with Maths and English GCSEs Grade C or above (or equivalent).
• Good IT skills and the ability to use common software.
• Well developed communication and organisational skills.

Job description

To enhance our professional team, we are seeking to appoint a Study Supervisor who has the tenacity, skills and flexibility to work in a fast-moving environment and the passion to help our students to progress and develop. Working pattern: 30 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, term-time only. (including INSET days). Hours: 8.30am till 3.15pm. Start: 1 September 2026

The successful candidate will have a strong academic record, including Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent), well developed communication and organisational skills and good IT skills. The purpose of this role is to provide effective study supervision to the classroom in the absence of the teacher, thus ensuring the students' learning can continue. You must, therefore:

• Be prepared to have full responsibility of the classroom
• Focus on keeping the students engaged in their learning
• Maintain good classroom behaviour, adhering to the school's policies
• Have a passion for education and learning

£17,915 per annum (FTE £25,186 per annum)
