About the role

The Study Manager leads projects and studies, acting as the main technical and commercial contact. Responsibilities include managing safe and efficient project execution, supporting proposals, ensuring contractual compliance, and overseeing team utilization. The role requires proactive pursuit of new prospects and projects with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.

Role Responsibilities
  • Deliver successful large multidiscipline Pre-FEED and FEED projects, managing change and commercial performance.
  • Identify future opportunities with current clients; build relationships and understand client drivers and challenges.
  • Support business development campaigns and grow market presence.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, developing long-term client engagement strategies.
  • Work with operational teams to meet project gross profit targets.
  • Ensure project quality and compliance with internal and client processes.
  • Manage project profitability as per proposals.
  • Coordinate with resource planners for mobilization and demobilization.
  • Report on project progress and financials monthly.
  • Lead and motivate a team of consultants and engineers, fostering engagement.
  • Collaborate on talent development and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure project leadership includes quality, HSE, and sustainability considerations.
Requirements
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar, with Chartered status.
  • Extensive experience in processing engineering projects in energy, at concept, feasibility, or FEED stages.
  • Experience as Lead Engineer on relevant studies.
  • Strong commercial skills and client engagement experience.
  • Ability to lead proposals and develop client relationships.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience.
