Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a Studio Engineer to join their team, inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.

This position is a key part of the Studio Engineering Team, responsible for preserving design integrity while ensuring feasibility.

As a member of the team, the role involves delivering feasible vehicles by leading a vehicle zone through Feasibility Checkpoints from Concept to Production Surfacing handover, maintaining design integrity.

The role requires:

  • A broad understanding of Interior, Exterior, or both system types such as Bumper, Exterior trim engineering, Exterior Lighting, Occupant & Pedestrian Safety, Closures, Manufacturing & Assembly, Instrument Panel, Console + Door Trim engineering.
  • Creative problem-solving skills for 3D technical/feasibility issues.
  • Proficient CAD drafting skills.
  • Strong communication skills with diverse teams including Design, Product Engineering, Vehicle, and Commercial teams.
  • Excellent people skills for resolving difficult feasibility issues in a cross-functional environment.
  • Business acumen and a customer-driven mindset.
  • Good understanding of the Design Process.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage workload effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Experience working within a Design Studio environment.
  • Knowledge of CATIA V5 & TCE, CATIA V6 / ENOVIA.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Extensive experience in Studio Engineering / Design Feasibility, or related roles such as Concept Engineering, Vehicle Integration / Packaging.
