Outset Studio is a specialist content studio focused on podcasts, live streaming, and video recording. Launched in 2018, it has rapidly grown to be the leading podcast recording studio in London, with branches in London Bridge, Hoxton, and Manchester.

We are now looking to hire a Studio Assistant to manage client bookings, from setting up to production, and to bring some outset creative projects to life. The successful candidate will be a valued member of Outset Studios and are expected to draw on their own experience proactively, demonstrating the ability to think laterally and innovatively to enable and deliver great customer service and, most importantly, manage their time in the studio effectively.

1.2. Role and responsibilities

The Studio Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Setting up the studio according to customer requirements while maintaining high cable management standards throughout the studio.
  • Operating DSLR cameras and audio recording devices as a videographer or sound engineer when required.
  • Assisting clients with studio use to achieve the best creative results.
  • Tracking and maintaining inventory systems.
  • Organizing and maintaining cables and equipment.
  • Keeping the studio clean and tidy at all times.
  • Assisting with client video and audio edits.
  • Handling phone calls and emails from existing clients.
1.3. Personal skills and experience required

• Experience with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.

• Excellent time management and initiative.

• Attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• An understanding of audience engagement.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.

• Flexibility and resilience to work in a dynamic organization where priorities may change at short notice.
