Job summary

Mangotsfield School in Mangotsfield, Bristol area is seeking a dedicated Student Support Worker to help vulnerable students thrive. You will deliver targeted interventions, support behaviour, and collaborate with families and external agencies to ensure consistent support.

You will join a proactive team, uphold safeguarding standards, and contribute to improving student confidence and attendance through guided, student-centred practices.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable or disadvantaged students.
• NVQ Level 3 in Learning Development and Support Services or equivalent.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and small group interventions to boost engagement, attendance, confidence, and self-esteem.
• Coordinate with families and external agencies to access specialist services.
• Monitor progress and maintain clear records for the Behaviour Lead and senior leadership team.
• Support behaviour management systems, including ready to learn supervision and lunchtime duties.
• Be part of the first aid team and respond to illnesses and injuries.
• Investigate incidents and liaise with parents to provide ongoing support to students.
