Job summary

Activate Learning is seeking a Student Welfare Coordinator at The Leys College Campus, Oxford. This permanent, part-time role (18.5 hours/week during term-time) focuses on supporting students receiving Additional Learning Support and High Needs learners, ensuring wellbeing and academic progress.

You will deliver 1:1 and group wellbeing sessions, help retain learners, and work with multiple services to provide inclusive support. DBS checks and safeguarding knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (C or above) required.
• Experience in welfare or social care.
• Experience working with learners with learning needs and SEMH.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral and welfare support to Lifeskills learners.
• Promote learner retention, achievement, and progression.
• Deliver 1:1 and group wellbeing sessions.
• Support transitions into Lifeskills programmes.
• Collaborate with faculty teams and College services.
• Contribute to multi-agency support for learners.
• Develop strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare at all times.
