Job description

Contract type: Full Time (37.5 hours) - Permanent

Location: Stockton-on-Tees, Durham International Study Centre

Salary: £24,570 per annum

Job Description:

The Wellbeing & Engagement Officer’s role is to support students face-to-face and online.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering services and processes that provide an excellent student experience, requiring excellent people skills and good administrative ability.

Responsibilities include providing first-level support and referrals to specialist services, establishing activities to help students develop skills and confidence outside the classroom, and ensuring effective case management of welfare concerns and LDHD students, with accurate record keeping in line with GDPR.

The role involves safeguarding students, supporting students under 18, coordinating health registration with local GPs, and supporting welfare events and promotional activities. The officer will also assist with completing Mitigating Circumstances Forms, supporting student committees, and handling out-of-hours welfare issues.

Additional duties include managing reception and student-facing environments, organizing registration and induction activities, and supporting team members in various educational and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Safeguarding training or equivalent experience
  • Experience supporting students in an educational context
  • Experience organizing trips, visits, and risk assessments
  • Experience creating engaging content and delivering workshops
  • Experience working with external partners for activities and engagement
