Job summary

Barking & Dagenham College is seeking a Welfare Inclusion Officer to lead support for students with access, health, personal care and mobility needs within the Additional Learning Support team. The role is full-time permanent, term-time only (40 weeks), with a salary of £29,296 - £30,883 per annum pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience.

• Level 2 English & Maths or equivalent.
• Manual Handling Training qualification.
• First Aid Qualification.
• Epilepsy Training qualification.
• Personal Care training qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead on overseeing support for students with access, health, personal care and mobility needs.
• Ensure learners social and physical needs are met to enable engagement in learning.
• Complete medical plans, care plans and risk assessments.
• Write, review and evaluate personal care/medical care plans for learners.
• Manage general and medical Risk Assessments for Horizons learners, PEPS, and Support Plans.
