Job summary

inspiring vet care in the UK offers a 40 hours per week apprenticeship to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse, working alongside a skilled team of Vets, Nurses and Grooms in a state-of-the-art referral hospital in Sussex.

You will gain hands-on nursing experience while progressing through your training programme and developing confidence in day-to-day practice, with support from mentors and responsive supervision.

  • A genuine interest in animal care and welfare.
  • A proactive and reliable approach, with openness to feedback and learning.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • You will be supported and encouraged to develop both your clinical and non-clinical skills while working towards qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • You’ll be an integral part of the practice team, supporting patient care under the guidance of Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses.

You will be working with a highly skilled team of Vets, Nurses and Grooms. We have fantastic lab and pharmacy provision, with great staff and a brilliant administrative team.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Student Veterinary Nurse, you will be supported and encouraged to develop both your clinical and non-clinical skills while working towards qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

You’ll be an integral part of the practice team, supporting patient care under the guidance of Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across a range of nursing duties while progressing through your training programme and developing confidence in your day-to-day practice.
