Bristol SU is seeking a hands-on events technician to join our technical team. You will help set up, operate and deliver events across venues including our Anson Rooms, working with students, clients and staff to ensure smooth operations.
You'll gain experience in lighting, sound and AV equipment, carry out checks, and contribute to maintaining our technical resources with a collaborative approach. Flexible zero-hour shifts include evenings and weekends.
We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about live events and wants to join our technical team to help deliver a wide range of events across our venues. You’ll support the setup, operation and delivery of events including student society productions, Bristol SU events and external bookings. Working across spaces including theatre venues and our 1200-capacity Anson Rooms, you’ll help provide technical and logistical support, operating sound, lighting, AV equipment and other event systems to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Alongside event delivery, you’ll help look after our equipment and spaces by carrying out checks, supporting basic maintenance and helping improve how we manage our technical resources.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands‑on, solving problems and working with students, clients and other teams. Whether you’re experienced in technical events or looking to develop your skills, we’re looking for someone enthusiastic, reliable and keen to get involved.
Hours:Flexible Zero Hour Contract (including evenings and weekend work)
