Outwood Academy Freeston has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and inspirational Inclusion department, supporting students in the Learning Resource Centre. This position suits someone with experience supporting student learning and an interest in progressing their career in education.
The successful candidate will have a passion for books and work closely with the English department. The role focuses on improving students' reading through tracking and interventions.
A key goal is increasing literacy levels, especially for students facing obstacles. The role involves group work, themed events, and interaction across curriculum areas.
Additional duties include assisting with reading interventions and supporting the Accelerated Reader Project.
Applicants should have excellent communication and IT skills, be well-organized, and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
