Temporary Student Support Officer - Education Setting (Safeguarding Lead)
Location: Beverley Campus
Hours: Mon-Thurs 08:30-17:00 | Fri 08:30-16:30 (Term Time Only)
Contract: Temporary - Until May 2025 (with potential extension)
Pay: £19 - £21 per hour (PAYE)

Castle Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Student Support Officer to join a well-respected education provider in Beverley on a temporary basis.

This vital role centres around frontline safeguarding and pastoral support for learners, so we're looking for someone with strong leadership and a passion for student wellbeing.

Key Requirements:

1. Recognised Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training (Level 3)
2. Proven experience in safeguarding leadership within an educational setting
3. Strong background in pastoral care and student welfare
4. Experience managing or supporting a pastoral team
5. Familiarity with working with High Needs learners is highly desirable

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Leading safeguarding procedures and acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead
2. Providing pastoral support and managing interventions for students
3. Coordinating with internal teams and external agencies to ensure learner wellbeing
4. Supporting and overseeing pastoral staff to maintain high standards of care
