Scholars School System, a project of UK CURRICULUM & ACCREDITATION BODY (UKCAB), a registered charity founded in 2006 with campuses across the UK, is seeking a Student Support Officer for all campuses including Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bradford, and Leicester.

Scholars School System is a national independent higher education provider offering world-class education with programmes ranging from Foundation Year to Level 7, delivered in partnership with institutions such as Leeds Trinity University. Over 5,000 UK and EU learners have completed their courses in the last five years, with a current student population of over 3,000.

Reports to: Assistant Academic Manager

Purpose
The Student Support Officer will coordinate academic schedules, support academic operations, and handle student inquiries—both basic and complex—from internal and external sources.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for academic programmes, including timetable coordination, class scheduling, and liaising with lecturers.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for academic-related enquiries, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Support student induction, registration, and enrolment processes.
  • Manage coursework submissions, tracking, and distribution, ensuring deadlines are met and progress is monitored.
  • Maintain student records and attendance data on CRM and VLE systems, ensuring compliance with audit and safeguarding standards.
  • Assist in organising examination boards and recording meeting minutes.
  • Respond to student queries regarding academic progress, funding, and wellbeing, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Engage with students through face-to-face meetings, email, and phone to provide ongoing support.
  • Participate in open days, induction activities, and feedback exercises to enhance programme quality.
  • Uphold safeguarding, Prevent, and health and safety policies in all student interactions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of database systems like CRM.

Terms of Appointment
  • Salary: £25,400 - £30,000 per annum.
  • Holiday entitlement: 28 days plus bank holidays.
  • Up to £5,000 annual incentives, paid quarterly upon KPI achievement after probation.
  • Annual salary increase of 5% upon meeting KPIs each year.
