Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Ltd in North London is seeking a dedicated Student Support Assistant (Temporary) to help students with additional needs access education and build independence within a mainstream college setting.

The role blends classroom learning support with personal care, including use of hoists and specialist equipment, while collaborating with tutors and Student Services to remove barriers to learning and ensure full participation in college life.

Qualifications

• Experience in FE or secondary school settings.
• Experience supporting students with learning and physical disabilities.
• Ability to build effective relationships with young people.
• Good IT and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students with additional needs in the classroom using learning resources and equipment.
• Provide personal care support using hoists and equipment.
• Draw up and monitor SMART target plans with progress reviews.
• Manage a caseload and liaise with teaching staff and external partners.
• Support behaviours and emotional regulation with patient strategies.
• Maintain records and produce reports for inspection.
• Participate in meetings, training, and college activities.
