Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is inviting applications for a Pupil Support Assistant at Liberton High School. Salary is £26,806 - £27,032 (pro rata for part time and sessional). Hours are 27.5 per week across 39 weeks per year.

This post involves working as part of a team, with strong training opportunities to support work with our children and young people. There is a mobility clause and PVG checks will be required. Successful candidates may be moved to other schools in the future.

Qualifications

• Conscientious and committed with excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
• Previous experience of working in a school would be desirable.
• Willing to work as part of a team and participate in training.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to support pupils at Liberton High School.
• Assist with classroom activities and individual pupil support where needed.
• Participate in training opportunities to support work with children and young people.
