Our client provides guardianship services to overseas students attending boarding school, college and universities in the UK. They are accredited and their services include the provision of a number of guardianship packages to parents, sourcing and managing homestay families, attending parent meetings and providing advice and guidance to their students and their parents. They are looking to appoint a part-time Student Support Assistant – Japanese Speaker. This is a Worcester based role with the possibility of some UK travel. The hours of work will average 8 hours a week throughout the year, predominantly during School term time. However, due to the nature of the role, there may be more hours worked one week and fewer another.

This post involves significant contact with children and the post holder will be responsible for children. The post holder will be considered to be in a regulated activity.

You will be required to provide proof of your identity, right to work in the UK and qualifications during the selection process. They will seek references on short-listed candidates that will include questions about past disciplinary actions or allegations in relation to behaviour with children and may approach previous employers for information to verify particular experience or qualifications before interview. An online search will also be carried out as part of due diligence on all short-listed candidates.
