Student Support Assistant Location: GL10 Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (term-time only) Hourly Pay Rate: £13.69 Contract: Full-time Why Join Us? About the Role: • Offer one-to-one and small group support for students across academic, social, and emotional areas. • Deliver creative, practical, and therapeutic learning experiences—inside and outside the classroom. • Apply trauma-aware, relational practices to create trust, reduce barriers, and promote emotional regulation. • Work closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, families, and external agencies to meet EHCP and personal development goals. Who We’re Looking For: • Experience supporting students with SEMH, SEND, or in alternative or creative education settings. • Calm, adaptable, and confident in dynamic environments—especially outdoor or hands-on activities. • Ability to build genuine, respectful relationships and offer consistent emotional support. • Backgrounds in youth work, creative arts, forest school, therapeutic practice, or vocational education are highly valued.
