Job description

Job Overview

Marshfields School is a 191-place special provision for students aged 7 – 19 with Learning Difficulties. We are expanding our staffing structure to better meet the needs of our students.

The purpose of this role is to support the learning and wider needs of all students, ensuring they receive appropriate support during their time at school.

Our recent Ofsted inspection in September 2023 graded the school as 'Good', recognizing the dedication and hard work of our staff.

Every student has an Education, Healthcare Plan (EHCP). Typical student profiles include:

  • A cognitive profile at or below the 2nd percentile
  • Attainment in core subjects significantly below age expectations (at least four years behind, but no more than six years below peers)
What you'll need to succeed
  • A good understanding of SEND principles and practices, or willingness to learn
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude, motivated to inspire students
  • The ability and willingness to provide personal care
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
