Job summary

Outwood Academy Foxhills is seeking a Learning Manager to oversee pupil welfare, monitor year-group performance using MIS and Praising Stars data, and drive targeted interventions. You will act as the lead for behaviour-related incidents and support readmission and exclusions processes in collaboration with families and external agencies.

The role requires experience in schools, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle pressure while safeguarding students.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a school environment and knowledge of issues affecting students and young people.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in using standard ICT packages, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing deadlines, and relate sympathetically to students.
• Experience of working with other agencies that support vulnerable students is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Strategically monitor all students in the assigned year group using MIS systems and Praising Stars data to identify concerns and intervention needs.
• Act as first point of contact for behaviour incidents and support the Consequences process, including parent contact regarding exclusions.
• Coordinate inter-agency liaison, chair Children in Need and Team Around the Child meetings, and support truancy and readmission activities.
• Coordinate year group logistics such as vaccinations and photographs and conduct attendance checks.
