The role

As a Student Success Coach, you'll deliver specialist, proactive, and personalised support to students, helping them develop academic confidence and personal agency. Working within a collaborative framework, you'll identify and engage with students who may be at risk of disengagement or withdrawal, offering tailored one-to-one coaching and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide one-to-one coaching and group support for students across the faculty.
  2. Use data and referrals to proactively identify students at risk of disengagement.
  3. Build trusted, ongoing relationships with students to promote belonging and academic progress.
  4. Support students in accessing wider university services and resources.
  5. Monitor progress using engagement and attendance systems, and contribute to institutional improvements through feedback and insight.
  6. Contribute to the delivery of Personal and Professional Skills modules alongside academic staff.
About You

We're looking for someone with:

  1. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build empathetic, supportive relationships.
  2. Experience working with students in advisory or coaching roles.
  3. A commitment to student development and equity of access.
  4. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  5. Confidence in using data to track progress and inform interventions.

A willingness to undergo enhanced DBS clearance is essential.
