Job description Job responsibilities

The Service & Team:

We deliver our health visiting and school nursing service across 6 Localities within the beautiful County of Cornwall. We work from the border with Devon covering areas such as Bude, Launceston, Liskeard down as far as Helston and Penzance.

Most teams are based together with our Early Help and Social Care colleagues, and we all record on the same electronic record which really helps communication and coordination. We provide an evidence based, family centre public health service, which focuses on identifying health needs and vulnerability within the family and community.

This is a great opportunity to join our innovative and collaborative service to meet the needs of our local communities and to ensure there are improved outcomes for all our children and young people in the beautiful county of Cornwall and IOS.

The course embraces a family, child, workplace-centred public health role with individuals, families, and populations, and focuses on improving health and tackling health inequalities. The approach requires you to work within a dynamic socio-cultural and service provision context across traditional boundaries, to network and develop services in partnership with service users, other professionals, and the voluntary sector. You'll learn to lead, assess, work collaboratively, evaluate public health provision, and accept responsibility and accountability for the safe, effective, and efficient management of that provision.
