London College of Contemporary Music [LCCM] is a renowned music college located at the Music Box SE1, a custom-built music campus in London. With six floors of practice and performance spaces, recording studios, Mac labs, classrooms, and a 120-capacity live music and entertainment venue, LCCM offers inspiring learning experiences and engaging entertainment environments. Position:

We are committed to support our students and help them practice and progress into meaningful and sustainable careers within the music industry. LCCM is hiring two Student Services Officers who will undertake a share of the administration, coordination and support associated with the student lifecycle from enrolment through to graduation and across all programmes and courses.

This position shall be the first point of contact for individual students and be responsible for the provision of day-to-day enquiry handling for the relevant courses, offering advice and support from the front desk. The Student Services Officer ultimately acts as a referral point, to provide students with support, guidance, information and impartial confidential advice. This particular role manages all student enquiries for LCCM and any other ad-hoc tasks and mini-projects.

You will be working closely with Student Services Manager, Programme leaders, Academic Mentors and Programme administration to ensure the course provision is up to date and communicated to students.

Requirements:

Student Support

Working within a team of four, the Student Services Officer will share a proportion of the following duties:

  • To act as first point of contact for all students, answering phone calls / emails / conducting one on one meetings necessary.
  • To support the academic team, printing materials as requested, producing documents, transcripts, etc., proactively ensuring a smooth flow of information between the academic team, students and other stakeholders.
  • Communicating all assessment dates to students and working closely with the Programme Leaders on the quality cycle of each awarding body and ensuring feedback and grades are issued as per the academic calendar.

Attendance

  • Coordinate and manage student enrolment, induction process and events
  • Reporting from student enrolment, attendance and assessment systems, ensuring student records are maintained in a timely and accurate fashion according to college and partner policy and procedure, in line with GDPR.
  • Servicing, supporting and secretarial duties for College committees, including organising and running elections for student representation.

Data Management and input

  • Organisation and data entry for internal student feedback surveys
  • Production of student documentation on both planned and ad hoc bases, including academic transcripts, council tax certification etc.
  • Supporting and informing current students and staff on all matters surrounding and related to the above and general support for ad hoc enquiries.

  • Outstanding levels of service, professionalism always offered to students
  • Continuously striving for excellence in relation to student experience at LCCM
  • Keep up to date with changes internally or within the external education market that may affect your role e.g. changes to UKVI guidelines or Student Finance
