Job summary

Bradford College is recruiting a Student Safety & Wellbeing Officer for our 14-16 Provision. You will engage Year 10 and 11 learners accessing alternative education, many with SEMH/EBD/ASD needs and EHCPs.

The role includes safeguarding, welfare, and collaboration with multi‑agency partners to support students effectively. You will work with the core safeguarding team to maintain records, develop safety plans, and contribute to a positive learning environment while upholding college policies and

Qualifications

• GCSE 4–9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths, or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability
• GCSE 4–9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English, or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability
• Level 2 Safeguarding Qualification

Responsibilities

• Provide a first point of contact for safeguarding, safety and wellbeing concerns and support children at risk of harm
• Make referrals to statutory bodies and internal/external services based on assessed needs and risk
• Develop safety plans for children at ongoing risk of harm
• Implement best practices in safeguarding, Prevent and emotional well‑being
• Support the welfare of students with core safeguarding team and maintain detailed records
