GIS is on a mission to transform the global sports industry through innovative education and collaboration, and we need ambitious individuals to help us achieve this. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow professionally while working with prospective students who are looking to study with us online and at iconic sports stadiums globally to achieve their career goals.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a talented, ambitious Student Recruitment and Events Assistant to support our recruitment strategies by engaging with prospective students globally, representing GIS at events, and building strong relationships with our audiences. You’ll play a key role in executing recruitment campaigns, managing our CRM system, driving student engagement across various communication platforms, and ensuring the seamless delivery of student recruitment events, providing administrative support and logistical coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Qualification and Sales Funnel Management:

  • Respond to enquiries from prospective students via email, phone, and social media platforms, providing timely and informative responses.
  • Utilise agreed frameworks to assess the suitability of leads, ensuring they meet the criteria for further engagement.
  • Build and nurture relationships with prospective students by providing information about courses, admissions, scholarships, and university life. Develop and execute targeted email and phone communication campaigns to encourage progression through the recruitment funnel.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate information on prospective students, tracking their journey from initial contact to application.

Events:

  • Assist the Events Manager in planning, coordinating, and delivering recruitment events, including open days, webinars, school visits, and campus tours.
  • Support logistical arrangements for both in-person and virtual events, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to timelines.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to meet event requirements.
  • Represent GIS at virtual and in-person events such as open days, school visits, recruitment fairs, and webinars.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and managing student ambassadors for events, providing guidance and support to ensure they are well-prepared.

Communication and Engagement:

  • Create and distribute promotional materials, including digital content, flyers, and invitations.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective students, parents, and educators, providing excellent customer service and information.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate information on prospective students and event attendees.
  • Gather and analyse data from events and lead interactions to evaluate effectiveness and inform future strategies.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide general administrative assistance to the Recruitment Team and Events Manager.
  • Manage event-related documentation, including budgets, schedules, and attendee lists.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Alignment with GIS’s EPICC values: https://gis.sport/about/our-vision-mission-and-values/
  • University degree or relevant qualification, ideally in a related subject.
  • Knowledge and strong interest in the sports industry, education, student recruitment, and event management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience communicating with diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to tasks.
  • Previous experience in the sports industry or education, customer service, or event coordination roles.
  • Experience working towards targets or KPIs, with success in recruitment or sales roles.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and online event platforms.

Additional benefits include 30 days annual leave plus public holidays, access to GIS’s part-time degrees or short courses, flexible hybrid working options, enhanced parental leave, and a cycle-to-work scheme.
