OES is a global education services partner, working with universities, employers, and industry bodies to deliver market-leading online learning solutions. Our purpose is to enhance lives through education, and our vision is to be the world's most impactful enabler of education. We are a values-led organisation that empowers our people to make a meaningful impact every day. Through collaboration, innovation, and a student-focused approach, we create engaging learning experiences while supporting our teams to grow, develop, and thrive in a culture that embraces change and continuous improvement.

The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and people-focused Student Recruitment Advisor to join our Student Recruitment team, based in Birmingham City Centre. This is a dynamic, telephone-based sales role where you will be the first point of contact for prospective students — both domestic and international — guiding them from their very first enquiry right through to enrolment. You will manage a pipeline of leads with energy and purpose, providing accurate, helpful information about courses, fees, and funding, and ensuring every prospective student feels supported throughout their application journey. If you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves building rapport with people, and is motivated by hitting — and exceeding — targets, this role could be a brilliant fit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meeting and exceeding short and long-term enrolment targets, consistently delivering against agreed KPIs
  • Acting as a knowledgeable, trusted guide for prospective students — providing clear, accurate information on courses, fees, and funding options
  • Assessing applicant eligibility carefully and professionally, escalating complex cases to subject specialists or university admissions teams where appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate student records in Salesforce CRM and preparing regular sales pipeline reports
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team to promote programmes effectively and support the evaluation of campaign ROI
  • Helping to coordinate recruitment events, webinars, and course demonstrations that showcase what OES and its university partners have to offer
  • Contributing actively to continuous improvement initiatives within the department, sharing ideas and supporting a culture of excellence
About you:

We're interested in speaking with enthusiastic and driven sales professionals who are passionate about helping prospective students achieve their goals. You'll have a natural ability to build rapport, connect with people from diverse backgrounds, and bring a genuine desire to make every conversation meaningful.

You will bring:
  • Proven success in a fast-paced sales environment, in a similar role, ideally within the higher education, university, academic, or student recruitment sector
  • Demonstrated experience in consultative sales (Minimum 1 year), with the ability to understand a prospective student's goals, motivations, and circumstances, and guide them towards the most suitable programme or study pathway. You are comfortable asking thoughtful questions, actively listening, and providing tailored advice that builds trust and supports informed decision‑making
  • Strong track record of achieving or exceeding KPIs and targets
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Resilience, self-motivation and a results-focused mindset
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • A genuine interest in education and the positive impact it can have on people's lives
What's in it for you:

At OES, we're transforming lives through education. You'll join a high-performing, values-led organisation where your work directly influences business decisions, drives meaningful outcomes, and supports some of the world's leading education providers. If you enjoy working with smart people, solving complex challenges, and making a genuine impact, you'll thrive here.

Along with joining a passionate, energetic and highly skilled team, this role will allow you to gain exposure to many growth and development opportunities. OES offers a hybrid, approach to work, where we work 2 days from our office in Birmingham (Wednesday & Thursday), and the rest from home (or wherever you choose!). Ultimately, you will be joining a values-driven, collaborative business where your creativity and innovation will be nurtured and celebrated.

We pride ourselves on being a 'People First' employer and if you join the OES Team, you will benefit from:

  • Global organisation focused on growth with lots of opportunities for our employees
  • Engaging & vibrant organisational culture
  • 35 hour working week, within a flexible working environment
  • OES values driven recruitment principles
  • Career-life fit - health & wellbeing focus
  • 25 days of annual leave + Bank holidays
  • Purchased leave scheme
  • OES strategy reflects respect, honesty & diversity
  • Continuous improvement through challenging & meaningful work
  • Study assistance and leave for eligible employees
  • High growth industry & strong partner/shareholder backing
  • Genuine focus on student success
  • Global mentoring program
  • We are proud to support the Living the Wage movement

If you're motivated by helping others, thrive on achieving results, and enjoy creating positive experiences, we'd love to hear from you.

At OES, we are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse environment, where we encourage candidates of any nationality, age, background, disability, and gender identity to apply. If you feel aligned to the role and would like to further explore your suitability, we welcome your application and would love to consider your fit for the role at OES.
