Qualifications

Our Student Reception is the first port of call for student queries in school and, as such, the Student Reception Administrator is of vital importance. English to GCSE or equivalent is required and previous experience working with children or young people is desirable, as is working within admin in a school or office environment.St Mary’s is a very popular and happy school, rated Outstanding by the Diocese and Ofsted. We became an academy in 2013 and enjoy outstanding facilities in a new building, which opened in 2011. We joined the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust in June 2020. We are also very popular with parents and are one of the most over-subscribed schools in the North-East. The roll has grown from around 1100 five years ago to over 1440 by September 2026, with 5 main school year groups of around 235 and a Sixth Form of approximately 270 students.
