Job summary

Lancaster University is seeking a full-time Student Programmes Officer on a fixed-term basis until July 2027. Based in Bailrigg, you will lead a team of student-facing staff, coordinating with academic colleagues to support delivery of student programmes and the student experience across undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

You will work within the Faculty of Science & Technology and the joint Education Service, reporting to the Student Programmes Manager, with flexibility to contribute

  • Ability to lead quality assurance, quality enhancement, timetabling and assessment processes.

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and organisational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of student-facing professional services staff.
  • Work closely with academic colleagues and across faculties to support delivery of student programmes and modules and student experience for undergraduates, taught postgrads and research postgrads.
  • Report to the Student Programmes Manager and be prepared to work across other academic departments as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative processes and quality assurance across education services.

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Student Programmes Officer, fixed-term until July 2027. The post will be based in one of the Faculty’s academic departments andwill lead and manage a team of student-facing professional services staff. The Student Programmes Officer works closely with academic colleagues and engages with colleagues from across the faculties and wider university to support the delivery and administration of student programmes and modules, and the student experience for both undergraduate and postgraduate taught students and postgraduate research students.

You will work within the Faculty of Science & Technology and the Faculty of Health & Medicine’s joint Education Service, reporting to the Student Programmes Manager. Whilst a department will be assigned, you will be expected to work within other academic departments of the faculties as required.

  • Have experience of delivering high-quality administrative services in a Higher Education or other relevant environment.
  • Be able to take the lead onquality assurance, quality enhancement, timetabling and assessment processes.
  • Be able to demonstrate competent IT skills and the ability to work with new systems and software in an evolving digital environment.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond positively to changing priorities, team structures and organisational needs.
