Compensation: Pay Range: $16.50 - $24.50 / hour

Job Description: The Student Nurse Apprentice will perform nursing skills tasks and activities as approved by the Alabama Industry Recognized and Registered Apprenticeship Program and the Alabama Board of Nursing. These tasks are performed under the supervision of a registered nurse. The apprentice will complete the required clinical hours outlined by their nursing program towards a nursing degree from a Board-approved nursing education program. This position is for nursing students in the 2nd semester of their program.

Requirements include being currently enrolled in a Board-approved nursing program (to begin apprenticeship in the 2nd semester), obtaining approval and basic competency validation of nursing skills from the educational program, holding a Board-issued permit for the duration of enrollment, and completing BLS certification within 30 days of employment. No additional requirements are specified.
