2 Year Nurse to Midwife Conversion programme
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for registered nurses to apply for a 2 year programme at Kingston University to complete training as a registered midwife. Clinical placement will be at the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust within our ‘CQC Outstanding’ Maternity service.
This is a fully funded programme with salary and all course fees paid.
To apply for this opportunity you should complete the application process via ‘Trac’ as well as applying for the programme via UCAS as per the flyer. This programme runs full time over two years and there is an expectation that student midwives work across the 24 hour shift pattern.
Interviews will take place in July 2025 and will be jointly hosted by the Royal Surrey Midwifery team and Kingston University.
To support and assist in the delivery of professional midwifery care to clients ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by clients and their families, practicing autonomously within the parameters of guidelines/policies and sphere of professional practice This is a rotational post working in all areas of maternity both hospital and community settings as part of our Continuity of Carer teams. We offer a robust preceptorship programme which is supported by our Maternity Improvement Team.The purpose of this post is for the learner to gain experience and learning in all areas of maternity care. This will be fixed term post for a period of two years whilst the employee is on the programme of education to register as a midwife.
