Colby River Student Living in Exeter is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join the Operations team. This part-time, site-based role involves hands-on repairs, safety checks and supporting summer turnover across our student living spaces.

The role focuses on practical maintenance, staying within safety standards, and delivering a reliable service to residents. A DBS check may be required and a collaborative, resident-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Practical maintenance experience in a buildings or student accommodation setting.
• Ability to diagnose common faults and carry out repairs.
• Strong attention to detail and safety-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across campus facilities.
• Maintain communal areas to a high standard and manage safety checks.
• Support the site team and coordinate with contractors as needed.
• Record maintenance work and stock usage accurately.
• Communicate with residents about repairs and access.
