Job summary

The University of Bath is hiring a Domestic Assistant in its Operations & Facilities Support team. The role supports students moving to independent living and ensures a high standard of accommodation experience.

You will work full-time (36.5 hours/week) with shifts mostly 9:00–17:20 Monday to Thursday and 9:00–17:10 on Fridays, including weekend work during peak periods. Prior cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience or knowledge of working in a hotel or student accommodation is beneficial, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean accommodation areas.
• Report maintenance issues.
• Ensure health and safety guidance is followed.
• Act as the face of the department by engaging with students and visitors.
• Work weekends on a rota basis, with summer peak periods needing weekend work.
